Okay, hang on tight as we share some of our favorite "highlights" from February. The month is only half way over and we have been so busy. Enjoy our very LONG post as we begin with our slideshow of our Valentine's activities.
Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Jones
Like any grandparents, they spoiled us with popsicles and cookies.
Listening as grandpa tells facts about New York.
The Living Planet Aquarium came to give a presentation on the water cycle and also brought a few "living" things to show.
Digging for Fossils
What a great way to start a fossil unit! During the rest of our fossil unit we learned the many ways that fossils are formed!
Reading Incentive
For our January reading incentive we created "story elements" in a cup. We started with our cup that represented a story. Then we added crushed up Oreos for a great beginning. Then we put in our pudding that represented the "middle" of our story. We added gummy worms for our "surprise elements" then ended with a big topping of whip cream for our unbelievable "ending" of our story. Our creations looked amazing.
Eating our story elements!
