Let's "KICK" September Good-Bye

It is hard to believe that September is behind us. Here are a few highlights as we ended the month.

We enjoyed our first reading incentive-apples and caramel. Congratulations to everyone for doing an excellent job on all your facts and feelings. Keep the reading going. We want to be a class of "READERS!"

We started a three week karate/respect program. We are excited to have Master Lechtenberg come and teach us about respect and self-defense. All fourth graders are learning about the "7 magic words of respect" and the "3 rules of concentration."

I enjoyed my first "auction lunch" with these two great fourth graders. They spent their hard earned money on lunch from Burger King.

Fun Run

We had a great time at our PTA fun run fundraiser this past week. We enjoyed warming up with a few aerobic moves and then we all headed out on the run. Enjoy the before and after pictures, because the kids were too fast for me to take pictures during the run. It was the perfect day with perfect weather. A big thank you to the PTA for setting this up. The kids LOVED it.

Do You Feel the LOVE?

We had a great day Friday as we celebrated Valentine's Day. Yummy food, fun games and lots of valentines. What more could you ask for? A huge thanks to Mrs. Joosten, Mrs. Knight and all the other moms for coming to help.

New Year's Fortune Tellers

We enjoyed kicking the New Year off by making fortune tellers with our first grade buddies. We look forward to great things happening in 2010.

Christmas in February

Better late than never. After having computer issue after computer issue, I am finally getting around to showing off our Christmas party.
