Going Back to Fourth Grade

We had a few special visitors to fourth grade this week. Brandon (Mrs. Morrison's brother) and Taylor (Mrs. Morrison's cousin) came in to challenge our class to a race with our math facts. Last year, Brandon did the same thing, and got beat by a bunch of fourth graders. He also lost to our class game of "Are you smarter than a fourth grader?" So, he is back for another round this year. We told him to give us a few more months to get them refreshed in our minds, then we will be ready to go. You can see him practicing his addition and subtraction mad minutes here. We could tell that Taylor has been practicing and doesn't want to get beat by a fourth grader. There is now doubt in our minds that we will be able to beat Brandon and Taylor. Let the competition begin! (Thanks Brandon and Taylor for the treats you brought in. You are welcome in fourth grade anytime.)

That sounds like so much fun! I wish my sister lived close enough that she could come to my class! We would have so much fun together. I am sure your 4th graders will have fun competing against your brother and cousin.

What a great idea--playing "Are you smarter than a fourth grader?!" No offense to your relatives, Mrs. Morrison, but I am pulling for those fourth graders!
